Mark Ormrod – No LIMBits
Mark Ormrod, former Royal Marines Commando, HPD consultant and the first British triple amputee from the conflict in Afghanistan intends to tell his full story via a film to be made this year. Following the success of his bestselling book, “Man Down”, “No LIMBits” will be a film about resilience in the face of adversity, about setting goals and targets and finding the means and strength of character to achieve them. Mark’s story is motivating and inspirational, frank, honest and gut wrenching at times, but also self-deprecating and humorous. Crucially though, there are key learning and development points for businesses, teams and individuals.
High Performance Development is both proud to have Mark as one of our consultants and to sponsor him and help his campaign to raise the necessary finance to make this film a reality. We will be introducing Mark to our network in London on Wednesday 26th April, for a breakfast seminar, between 0800-1100. Full details and venue to follow shortly, so please make sure to save the date. Mark will talk openly about his journey over the last 10 years, the inspiring highs and the debilitating lows, how he survived against all the odds and, among other personal milestones, his quest to compete in this year’s Invictus Games.
“The injuries I sustained in Afghanistan changed my life but they do not define it. What defines my life is the meaning I have chosen to attach to what happened to me, to the positive lessons I learned along the way and the growth I have experienced”.
