High Performance Development is a training and development company, based in Hampshire, between Southampton and Portsmouth. We develop bespoke training interventions through discussion with each client to ensure they receive targeted training to meet their requirements.
Training programmes should be enjoyable experiences, not something people feel they are being made to attend. We want our delegates to leave not only with achievable personal development plans, but having had a truly memorable experience with a commitment to improve performance.
At HPD we practice what we preach by using the right person for the right role. Our team of consultants bring a wealth of knowledge and experience across a wide range of training and development areas, ensuring our clients receive exceptional programmes.
Tieing in with our philosophy of drawing lessons from the business world, sporting arena and military operations and how these different areas can all learn valuable lessons from each other. All HPD consultants come from diverse and interesting backgrounds such as leading teams to the South Pole, sailing around the world, climbing Everest, winning Olympic gold medals, being successful in business or being part of Britain’s elite special forces.
This allows us to bring our programmes to life with real-life inspiring examples of how what we are teaching works, especially when the going gets tough. Our team are experts at relating their experiences to our clients’ own working situations and business issues ensuring the lessons are both relevant and beneficial.
Our main training base is New Place Hotel in Shirrell Health (half way between Southampton and Portsmouth).
From the moment you arrive at New Place, you’ll know you’ve chosen the perfect conference venue. That’s because it’s an exquisite Grade I listed manor house – set in 32 acres of lush parkland. Getting to us is easy, with access from the M3 and M27 and nearby rail links to London. See more of our beautiful training venue here.
It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the business, there’s always something else to consider when making your graduate development scheme the one graduates want to sign up to. High Performance Development MD Ruari Chisholm runs through a quick checklist of things to consider as in introduction to an exclusive series of films to offer inspiration and reminders on the best ways to recruit, induct and development these precious new employees.
