The Great British Triathlon Incorporating The Three Peaks Challenge
HPD Motivational Speaker and adventurer Lee Spencer is at it again, raising money for the Royal Marines Charity on another one of his epic challenges.
In July 2022 Lee Spencer the Rowing Marine will embark on his next challenge. He will swim the channel, Cycle from Lands End to John O Groats and climb the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales, combining the 3 classic challenges in Britain, into one big challenge, theTriathlon of Great Britain.
As a single leg amputee, by far the greatest challenge will be climbing the 3 highest peaks, Snowden, Scafell Pyke and Ben Nevis. To give Lee an idea of how his body will cope, he will climb the 3 peaks on consecutive days in April this year. This will give him invaluable insight on how to tackle each of the peaks during the Triathlon and will be a good way of kicking the Triathlon of Great Britain off.
Each of the 3 peaks is considerably further than Lee has walked since losing his leg and is on the edge of what is possible with the complex injuries he suffered to both Legs, making the 3 Peaks a challenge in its own right.
