Simon has over 20 years’ experience in coaching, training, development and operational management. Simon’s career pathway was through one of the worlds leading maritime training organisations, The UK Sailing Academy.
As the Director of youth development, he implemented strategies and training programs across all aspects of the organisation. Instigating youth development programmes that delivered exceptional results for young people affected by unemployment or criminal offences.
He also successfully project-managed the UKSA’s overseas training centres in Australia and the Middle East.
Simon developed his coaching skills further when he was part of the British Blind Sailing Team, as the sighted tactician. They won two team Gold medals at the world championships both in Weymouth and in Miami. He is a keen competitive sailor, racing dinghies and yachts at international events.
Simon has an extensive understanding of the skills needed when leading a variety of different projects and teams, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
Simon is highly qualified within the watersports and maritime training sector and also enjoys spending time in the outdoors cycling, mountain biking and stand up paddle boarding.
